Coniacc

The Golden September movement is an initiative of Coniacc (National Confederation of Support and Assistance Institutions of Child and Adolescent Cancer) that takes place throughout the hole month in Brazil with the aim of alerting parents about the importance of early diagnosis of childhood cancer.

The campaign consists of an animated film, which the early scenes show a boy who loses his last hair during treatment. With effects that refers to the passage of time, this hair floats the city until it finds its owner. It rests on the head of the same boy who faced the disease in childhood but who today appears as a healthy young man.

The goal is alerting parents that childhood cancer has a high chance of cure, if early diagnosed. The film also encourages adults to visit the Movement's website to learn more about the symptoms that motivates taking preventive screenings. The communication is also made up of spots and magazine and newspapers ands, and was made by the support of television and radio broadcasters and other publishing companies that has given the insertions nationwide.
